What a weekend it was.

The roar of engines. The electric atmosphere. The energy of 465,498 fans. The 2025 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne’s iconic Albert Park Circuit was one for the books—and we were thrilled to be right in the middle of the action.

Now in our fourth year supporting this world-class event, the Platinum Staffing team showed up in full force. From front-of-house to behind the scenes, our people brought skill, heart, and hustle to every shift. Whether serving thousands of fans in buzzing retail zones or curating elevated moments in premium suites, they delivered hospitality with warmth and ease.

Here’s a look back at the weekend that was:

 

Early Action & On-Track Support

While the main F1 weekend kicked off on Friday, our involvement started much earlier. From Monday through Thursday, Platinum Staffing was already in full swing, supporting F2 and F3 with our chefs and lounge assistance.

Our hospitality staff were placed in various on-track locations, including bars, suites, and service areas, ensuring guests had a premium experience even before the main event began. These quieter days were the perfect opportunity for teams to ease into the pace, polish systems, and build momentum for what was to come.

Our supervisors and management team were also hard at work—attending site briefings, conducting walkthroughs, and coordinating closely with GEMA GROUP to finalise all operational details. From rostering to team briefings, this early groundwork played a crucial role in the smooth delivery of the high-energy days that followed.

Friday – Practice Day: Kicking Off in Full Throttle

As the sun rose over Albert Park, fans were already lining up—eager to dive into the Grand Prix experience. With F1 practice sessions kicking off and record-breaking 125,548 attendance underway, the energy was nothing short of electric.

From the moment gates opened, our staff were in action— navigating high-volume service areas, and keeping the crowd refreshed. Their calm, collected approach and natural friendliness helped set the tone for the rest of the weekend.

Saturday – Qualifying Day: Heat, Horsepower & Hospitality

Melbourne turned up the heat for Qualifying Day—literally. With temperatures rising and the qualifying action intensifying, our team kept cool under pressure.

Whether behind retail bars, supporting logistics, or creating smooth guest experiences in VIP spaces, our crew moved with purpose and precision. Every pour, plate, and interaction reflected the professionalism we pride ourselves on. Amid the buzz and horsepower, our people were the quiet engine keeping everything running.

Sunday – Race Day: Rain or Shine, We’re On

In true Melbourne style, Sunday brought a shift—gloomy skies and drizzling rain. But spirits? They stayed sky-high.

Fans packed the circuit, umbrellas in hand and excitement in full swing. And just like the drivers on track, our staff adapted without missing a beat—keeping VIPs comfortable, serving general admission crowds braving the weather. They turned every challenge into a moment of connection. The rain may have fallen, but the experience never dropped.

With that, our retail staff at the main stage closed off another F1 weekend, serving out last drinks to Fatboy Slim epic performance.
