Every year in Melbourne, the roar of engines signals more than just the start of the Formula 1 season — it marks one of the biggest events in Australia’s hospitality and events calendar.

Held at the iconic Albert Park Circuit, the city transforms into a global stage where motorsport, entertainment, food, and premium hospitality collide.

For Platinum Staffing, 2026 marked our fifth consecutive year supporting the event, and once again our incredible team delivered high-energy hospitality across multiple premium venues and activations throughout Melbourne.

Delivering Premium Hospitality Trackside

This year our team worked across several corporate hospitality suites at Albert Park, including Turn 8 Lakeside and Slipstream, two of the most sought-after viewing and hospitality experiences at the Grand Prix.

Turn 8 Lakeside offers guests spectacular views across the circuit and lake, with a three-level open-front hospitality venue designed for premium food, beverage, and entertainment experiences.

Meanwhile, Slipstream sits along one of the fastest sections of the circuit between Turns 9 and 10, combining trackside drama with high-end hospitality and rooftop viewing areas.

Across these suites, our hospitality professionals were responsible for delivering seamless guest experiences — from food and beverage service to premium guest engagement — ensuring racegoers enjoyed world-class hospitality alongside world-class motorsport.

With thousands of corporate guests attending throughout the weekend, attention to detail, professionalism, and energy were essential.

And our team delivered.

Supporting Melbourne’s Coffee Culture

Motorsport may run on fuel, but race weekends in Melbourne also run on coffee.

This year our team proudly supported Campos Coffee, supplying experienced baristas and cashiers across their Grand Prix operations.

From the early morning practice sessions to the intensity of race day, our barista team kept the crowds moving with high-quality coffee service — a must-have for both fans and hospitality guests during the action-packed race schedule.

Activations Across the City

While the track at Albert Park is the heart of the Grand Prix, the atmosphere spreads across Melbourne.

Off-site, Platinum Staffing also deployed a retail bar team at Federation Square, one of the city’s central hubs for fan activations and live race viewing.

Across the weekend, Federation Square hosted thousands of fans gathering to watch the action, creating an electric festival atmosphere in the city.

A Global Event with a Local Impact

The Australian Grand Prix continues to grow every year, attracting hundreds of thousands of fans and global attention to Melbourne’s events industry. Recent races have drawn record crowds approaching half a million spectators across the weekend, highlighting the scale and economic impact of the event.

For hospitality teams, this means operating at the highest level — delivering exceptional service in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

It’s exactly the type of challenge our team thrives on.

Fifth Year of F1 Excellence

Working at the Australian Grand Prix is always special for our staff.

From the early setup days to the final chequered flag, it’s a chance to be part of something truly iconic — a global sporting event that brings together motorsport, entertainment, hospitality, and Melbourne’s world-class event culture.

As we celebrate our Fifth consecutive year supporting Gema Group at the Australian Grand Prix, we’re incredibly proud of the dedication, professionalism, and energy our team brings to the track every year.

To everyone who worked the event — thank you.

And to the fans and partners we supported across the weekend, we look forward to doing it all again next season.
